This unique property is a naturalist's paradise. It includes an extensive estuary and waterfront comprised of 9 acres of tidal salt marsh where shorebirds feed and raptors nest. The property is surrounded on two sides by privately conserved land. The 19 acres of woods afford several house sites off the old woods road. A driveway on to the property exists and soil test for a 3 bedroom home has been completed.

Sweeping views of southernmost Vinal Cove and the wetland are available from the rocky outcropping. The topography gently rises to a woodland of various habitats which include numerous species of trees, ferns, shrubs, and mushrooms. The habitat supports many songbirds including Golden crowned ringlets, goldfinches and woodpeckers.

From 1884-1906 part of the marsh was a half mile track for horse racing known as the Trotting Park. Faint remnants remain including rings in boulders and a granite covered culvert across the track.
